Cool

The discussion about The Noise it makes is "mouth-watering"

I guess my only worry now is that occasionally my family will be in the car with me. How is the noise level INSIDE the car (with windows up)? Is it wife- and baby-friendly???

PS. Oh, and another worry - my dealer said that fitting the SS exhaust will invalidate manufacturer's warranty - is this true???

It will invalidate the warranty, but only on the bit of exhaust it has replaced ? the rest of the warranty should remain intact.

It is louder than the standard.

Only really intrusive on long motorway hauls.
(depending on your standard cruising speed of course)

Not so bad

Try to find someone in your area willing to let you have a listen....

Cool

I can only hear mine below about 40mph after that its a low rumble. Its quite noticeable on first and especially second gear aceleration. I have a 4 door and it suppose to be quieter than a 5 door. Ultimate accessory and a must . It does make the OE sound a bit limp. I didnt noticed how loud they were until I followed a fellow owner at a recent meet and it sounded glorious .

cheers

chrisp

everyone is saying how good these scooby exhausts are - most likely true - but one thing no one is saying is the price - is it a case of *if you need to ask you cant afford one !*
please can someone shed some light on this for me - mines a 4dr sport - will it do a lot for performance if I also put a ram air filter on at the same time ?
Is it the same model as a Turbo model ? or is there an inferior model for us Sport owners ?
ps. sorry if any spelling mistakes - eating a Yogurt - one hand typing

I have had disks, and gearbox fixed under warranty with the SS exhaust fitted, so I have had no problems at all with warranty work.

According to my Scoob dealer (Welch's of Great Shelford, Cambridge), the warranty is invalidated up to the part of the exhaust that connects to your new bit. In other words - new backbox, warranty invalid for centre section, fine for rest. New centre section and backbox - invalid for downpipe too. Not sure if you fit the complete exhaust, it invalidates your engine warranty...

Any other comments re: manufacturer's warranty being invalidated as a result of fitting SS exhaust?

Have you ever had any problems?
