Default LM400 or LM420 Turbo

Hi,

Is anyone running either an LM400 or LM420 twin scroll turbo?

I’d be keen to hear your thoughts and see power graphs, preferably running the OE air box.

I’m thinking of getting an LM400 for my Spec C

Thanks,

Nick.

are the LM's true twin scroll? i know some (not saying it iss LM) claimed to be, but turned out not to be.

other thing to consider is i believe both LM and SC turbo's have had revisions since that thread?

They are twin entry, not twin scroll. But they seem to work well anyway. I guess twin entry might be better for top end power.

Thats good power on the standard top mount I want to keep the standard top mount & air box.

What torque does it make?

From that graph it looks to be making 370 lb/ft torque.

In short, yes.

The LM400 is based on a GT2967 core which the LM420 also uses, albeit the LM420 is fitted with a 71mm compressor wheel. The LM450 turbo uses a GT30 core. With that being said they are all suited to a 2.0 as they were originally designed for the 2.0 JDM twinscroll cars. It's worth reading through Shaun's old JDM Hawk thread when he was testing out the LM400 and LM450, there is plenty of good info in there!
