Secondhand petrol XV - any good ?
Just wondering if they are worth a go secondhand.
- wouldn't touch a diesel one for the obvious reasons
- wouldn't be an XT with CVT as I would buy something else first for the same money!
- so that leaves the 148bhp 2.0 petrol.
My only experience of this engine has been in Subaru dealer courtesy car Imprezas, which had to be revved to go anywhere. I've also read that the ride was rubbish until the newer model in 2016.
Thoughts ? Forget it or worth a go ?

In my experience the petrol non-turbo Subaru's are quite lethargic, so I wouldn't bother personally :-/
It's a shame, but for me there's nothing in the range that excites me at the moment.
There's a Subaru owners group on Facebook - might be worth a shot asking the question on there?

MPG is't great, mid 30's on along run, lower pottering around. Other than that very good, although its not a performance car so don't buy one expecting that.
Spec is good, kit inside is good, ride comfort is good, handeling is good so its pretty solid across the board.
My Dads on his second, first one he got punted off the motorway into the central res at 70mph, car didn't fare so well and was written off, but my mum and dad were fine so did very well. He went straight out and bought another one.

Highest output engine of any version was either the diesel or the 2 litre petrol both at around 150 brake. The older model was available in manual.
Don't think you can even get the levorg turbo engine in the new ones yet.
