Hi All,

I have a 3" system on my scooby, well it was bought with it on, not sure what brand it is, however i would like to quiet it down a bit. i was wondering, whats the best silencer to buy to get it welded on?

any recommendations?

I went to H & S and had a silencer welded in the middle section. Maybe have a word with them, not too far from you.

But my exhaust was one of their own. Whether they will be happy working on another manufacturer exhaust I dont know. Dont see why not as long as its 3" to suit their pipework. No harm in asking.

They gave me a choice of 2 silencers when I asked.

Great. i'll give them a call and see what they say. when you said to them you wanted a silencer, did they ask what type? as in, something to tone it down deeply? or raspy..did they have different selections in terms of tones?

I just said I wanted it quieter. They gave me 2 options and gave me the decibel decrease level of both. Not sure they can do that for you as its not their exhaust. It didnt change the tone. The noise is still there when driving harder, just easier to live with on the motoway.
