Default V Max today

had a fun but a little frustrating day today at VMax in my car. Unfortunately the cam sensor is on the way out and the car was loosing sink and cutting in the lower gears 1-4 it managed to pull hard in 5 & 6 (2.2 bar boost)

By pulling lots of boost in 1-4 and driving very gently short shifting I managed one run without a major cut and managed 189.5 mph it defiantly surprised a few people today just a shame it could not to a full power run

That is amazingly fast!

Is there a project thread about this car? I'd love to see what actually goes into something that is properly quick, and how it is different from the more run-of-the-mill 400-500hp cars we see a lot more of.

Very good results!

Couple of my mates were there from Wrench studios. My mate ran his purple M6 this year but hit a limiter, last hear he did 207. Hopefully next year I will be ready too.

Good stuff.

That's amazing!!!

Especially when you consider that aero is just as important (more important?) as power at those speeds. Those other cars have been designed from inception to achieve very low drag at high speeds.I have heard it said that the air is like trying to drive through custard when you get into those numbers.

Have you any plans to reduce drag? Remove the spoiler & wing mirrors just to see if it helps.

Great job!.
