Hi all,

Gutted to say the least, NSF wheel, but what's done is done grrrrr

Anyway, can anyone suggest a decent alloy wheel repair kit that they have tried and found to be good?
I see quite a few kits on Amazon, but has anyone tried any of them?

I have time on my hands, so can try to do a good job. Old spare 17" Enkei now on the car...not driving it around on the spare biscuit lol
I'm not paying £90 for a whole refurb as I was just quoted, plus a SMART repair I think I could avoid and do myself.

Some of the kits include a putty like filler....below you can see a few chunks that clearly wont just sand out....

£90 is a rip off. search about and u can get a repair for 40-50

Won't bother with the putty around the edge as when you come to putting new tyres on it will come up best off getting a tub of alloy filler off ebay for a 10 pounds

Looks like Isopon leads the market, says it's easy to sand to a smooth finish.

I don't want to spray the area with aerosol primer, after being filled, as I'm unsure of how to feather the effect. I can spray some into some foil or something and gently brush on by hand, Same with the paint.

It's not going to look 100%, but just to take the eye off it ideally.
Yes, £90.....and was considered a good price by the wheel place....plus that was "cheaper" as my tyre is already off. I left the building rather promptly.

The set of Enkeis I found earlier this year on ebay are so nice, I think they have been refurbed before, but to a particularly high standard. I waited until the better weather before I put them on. They really (were) mint, and I put god knows how many layers of Poorboys wheel sealant and even a few coats of Collinite 915.
Then I go and ruin one, feel so daft!

I'm going to have a go on it myself and do a local repair to the damaged area only.
