Default Is the price difference really worth it.

Looking at getting into a STI just after Christmas as my urge for a fast car has took over again ( should never have sold the Supra ).
I do generally prefer the 2.0 version, and preferably a hawk eye, but i dont mind the Blob either.
Long story short..

Is the price difference really with when looking at UK blobs between 9-11k

vs
JDM versions

Obviously my head says just get the JDM, but if a UK has already be forged etc is price difference really worth that extra 2-4k for the JDM.

I guess the answer will be "yes" but still worth asking.

Cheers

A forged 2.5 works very well as it often has much more torque than a 2 litre and is more drive able , i heard 2 litre twin scrolls works well too , i had so much lag on my 2 litre jdm sti wagon , my fsti was way quicker even with less bhp than the 2 litre

I think the JDM cars will always be more desirable to those spending that sort of money and they do seem to hold value better but it just depends what you want. Then again UK Blob STi's are holding steady money now, especially the later ones (DCCD Widetracks).

Whether they're 'that' much better is subjective and depends completely on what you want. If you have the extra money to spend without worry then I'd go JDM if it was my hard earned..and you get JDM Bragging rights .

As long as I've been looking at Impreza's over the last few years, decent JDM Hawks usually are in the region of 13-15k.

Not sure on newage models. But I owned a classic JDM and a UK classic decided to sell JDM. Classic UK not as fun as JDM. Lacking in handling power and general feel of the car. To be honest though if you haven't driven a JDM you'd never know. Why not test drive both?
