Default Paddle clutch welded to the flywheel,,,?

Has anyone ever had this happen ? ie the pucks welded to the flywheel ?

If so whats the cause ?

I'm wondering if its bad driving that's done it, It was in a garages hands when i got the call "your clutch has gone",,,, My thoughts were instantly who's been thrashing the back legs off it.

Had it happen to me after a few launches...didn't give it chance to cool inbetween.

I'd say they've been giving it some!!

How old is it, and what kind of use do you give it?
It's going to be almost impossible to prove that the garage was responsible without dash cam evidence. Is it a new garage to you, or previously tried and trusted?

I'd say that's not normal wear. Only previously seen it at a quiet santa pod RWYB when the clutch had to work very, very hard and then not given a chance to cool down.

Heat damage, what make clutch? As a paddle clutch is designed to take a certain amount of slippage but saying that their is also a definite percentage of driver error here and that has to come into the mix as well.SJ.

Not sure on the brand as it was in there when i bought it..
Usage by myself is very occasional and nothing heavy..
As for the garage it was mate i know who took it in for me I'm thinking he's enjoyed his trip there a little too much, A 6 mile journey shouldn't overheat that driven hard so god knows what's been going on.
