Default Engine fumes in cabin since windscreen change

Had a replacement windscreen a month or so back and, since then, there's a distinct smell of engine fumes in the cabin. Doesn't seem to make much difference if the heater blower/fan is on or not.

It's not exhaust fumes or fuel, it's the smell of a hot engine bay if you stuck you head under the bonnet.. if that makes sense!

I'm guessing in fitting the replacement windscreen the fitters have blocked/unblocked something that should otherwise be unblocked/blocked but before I throw my teddies at them, any ideas what they could have done that could have caused this problem?

TIA!

Maybe your heater matrix is leaking?

If they did not raise the bonnet? then maybe nothing to do with them , i’m thinking the link is unlikely , every thing else ok in the engine bay fluid wise ? are you smelling it all the time or only when things warm up , it’s not too unusual smelling a bit of warm car could it just be that ? any other signs or symptoms ?
