mileage is low , mot history is quite good , plus it’s a 2 litre so with out opening a debate less prone to some engine issues, engine appears forged ? one year it only did 8 miles in the whole year and it’s not done a lot of miles a year since , seems like a nice car , check fluids plus cambelt which has apparently been done , barter on price see how you go , seller may accept an offer from you , the only thing that puts me off a bit is that many mods done but that’s horses for courses

Hi thanks for the reply. The mods did get me thinking but the service history is putting me off as his only history is in his ownership.the build was done by bucks scooby ? The reason for build was stronger bottom I've been told.I can get a bit reduced but thought if anyone knew the car before I go over for a look.

The service history to some extent starts from a fresh after the re build , i have bought 2 Jdm Fsti with no history , it depends on how much you attach history to a car , it’s that low a mileage that’s good , next thought is rust , if it’s tuned to the 9th degree i would probably de tune it a bit for reliability plus still as fast car but not silly mpg figures , the de cat bit makes me think hassle mot time , sports cat would be my choice rather than de cat , sounds a bit of chasing numbers , i don’t know much about re builders worth a google and a call to them maybe ?

Gimme your money and take mine instead it’ll hold its value if not 8ncrease aswell

much better example with the rarest parts you can find for a jdm widetrack

been in uk since brand new with only 43k miles you wont find a better example and it’s not advertised

Isn't that 'Blue By You's old car ? yes it is. Had a shed load of money spent on it and well looked after when he had it. He sold it think in the last 12months, no knowledge of what happened then. But started life as Uk STI running around 440hp, the 2litre being on it's limits, installed a 2.5 closed deck, had porosity issues with the block and after a lot of frustration yanked the long engine out and a stroke of luck came across the JDM long engine which is in it now. A sound car but can't comment on since it left his ownership.

Everything about it fits the car he had

Steve was the previous owner, he was a member of Beds and Bucks Scooby's and that's where I knew him. His input to the car would be totally sound, The engine, I'm sure wasn't rebuilt, I just understood he got hold of the JDM long engine and it was installed complete, I doubt he did the work his self. The club meets had waned then so I didn't speak to him on a reg basis so please get the facts about the engine confirmed.
