JDM Hawkeye Speedo Conversion
I'm looking at buying a fresh import, I'm just wondering what kind of conversion can be done on a JDM hawkeye speedo to have it read in both MPH and KPH? The MOT guys here in NI are very strict on the speedo reading both.

Or buy a km to mph converter around 20£ or so , rev limiter removed and both odometer plus speedometer show miles , the only additional is the face of the speedo may show km not miles dependant on car model , charged with a sticker if you feel you need to

The benefit of the kph to mph converter is the 112 mph limiter is in effect removed , but it’s your car your call , the wires you need access to are just under the intercooler

Yeah the chip would be fine, but I need the speedo to have both MPH and KPH clearly marked. I'm not sure that a sticker over the dial face will illuminate properly on the defi style clocks causing me issues at MOT time.
Can anyone confirm or deny if the UK clocks will work?

Yes. I have a JDM Legacy Gen 4 that is pretty much the same DBW configuration. The upper speed limiter was removed when I had a remap.
But I believe the Redline on the JDM cars is higher than the UK equivalent so the clocks may not be just a straight swap.
