Just replace with one from here, I've used this place numerous times. Search around for the best package and upgrade to 12 month warranty if it let's you.
K2 is the small model isn't it? If so now is the time to upgrade to the k4 I think. I did and it's much better, i use my pressure washer for cleaning drive etc and the k4 is much better.

I used electric pro Karcher for my business for a couple of years, motor always cutting out, eventually burnt out; local pump/pressure washer supply firm laughed at me, said repair would be more than cost new and serviceable pump/petrol the way to go. I think it was H series.
I appreciate that's another few budget levels up, but Karcher does look better than it functions, like another of German brands, ime .

As above, go with a Nilfisk, asked a place about repairing my K2 and he said bin it and buy a Nilfisk for home use, only buy the top end industrial Karchers. I bought mine from https://www.nilfiskoutlet.co.uk, same company that runs the Karcher outlet.

like others have said, bin it and get a Nilfisk, Argos had a deal on at the time where I got loads of extras for the same price as a standard model. Tried repairing my Karcher when it sprung multiple leaks but gave up and invested in a Nilfisk.

Only karchers worth anything are the upper-end HD series (not to be confused with the low end ones from Screwfix etc) the rest is junk that packs in within 5 years, be it motor or split pump head. Even their window vacs are rubbish!
Lavor can be just as bad.
Nilfisk always seem to get good feedback, although never had one.
Personally I would go one of two ways..buy the cheapest £20-30 washer and re-use your old lance and hose (buy adapter if needed), and throw away ever one to two years, or buy top end Pro or HD models that are more geared for commercial work. With Karcher all the inbetween domestic models are the same junk just with more fancy housings and accessories.
I have a Bosch Aquatak 150 Pro X (Turquoise Bosch, not green) that's served me well...has a steel armoured fabric braid hose which far more durable than the plastic/rubber hoses on cheaper models, and all-metal pump rather than plastic (that splits in frost or just from heat/age) . Only issue is the pressure switch has stuck on, may have been frost damage as it was in the shed over winter and temps did drop to -10C. Aquataks have gone a bit more domestic orientated now, so I think the modern equivalent is the GHP series.

I didn't expect so many replies.
My K2 is around 8 years old now I think but has served me well, never let me down until this event.
I'll look at getting something better as you have all suggested and bin it. We have a Nilfisk at work -- I bought it via capex £2400 !

I just bought cheap one from Argos worked fine. Lance broke when left it outside in winter my own fault. Bought a karcher lance and worked fine, until I went to get it out of the garage one day and cable was cut odd. Scrapped it and resold the lance lol back to Argos.

Just to be sure is it the motor thats packed up or the pump. The pump on the K2 is a very common fault. They make them out of plastic when they should be metal.
At the price point of a K2 the Nilfisk are always rated better and they use metal pumps. Whats your budget have a look at some of the other Karcher range or if it is the pump throw £20 on a new one but again you don't know how long it will last.
