Good afternoon guys & gals

After some routine maintenance 2 weeks ago it turns out I need to replace the rear diff on my MY03 JDM STI. The oil was changed to find a reasonable amount of swarf on the magnetic oil bung. Although not life and death I've been advised not to leave it and to try to source a replacement.

I've been in contact with the breakers on here plus others that they in turn have suggested but all to no avail. I've tried other suppliers etc (AS Performance, central turbos etc) and no one has one. One will come up but I want to sort the issue before it's too late.

The alternative route is to have mine rebuilt, but at this stage the investigating hasn't been done to establish what the damage is, only that there is damage of some sort. My tuner (Richard @ FB Tuning) has put forward the very sensible suggestion of trying to source a replacement second hand unit before stripping mine in case the problem is so bad my diff can't be rebuild. Makes a lot of sense, that way at least I'll still have a working car.

So does anyone know of a place/person I can get my hands on a JDM 3.9 R180 diff or alternatively does anyone have any suggestions on where I can go to get mine rebuilt? One option I've got is TEG Motorsport in Lancashire who can do the work and keep the parts but I've not any experience of them. Thoughts please folks.

You will have no issue's at all with TEG sport , very good at what they do

Talk to Merlin on here or look up RM Performance in Banbury, I was recommended them when I thought I had a box issue and they are very helpful (ask for Rob).
