Hi i have used both the tyres you have mentioned i cant fault either of them. The bridgestone had fantastic grip, also the the hankook was a very good tyre in the wet and very little road noise.I would def buy the hankook again and a great price.

Not the 2 you’ve mentioned but have you considered or used the pilot spirt 4’s before? If not I’d seriously consider them.

I was really impressed with the goodyear eagle asymmetric 3's on my blob. Good grip, not too much noise and wore well.
But to be honest, all the tyres listed above are pretty good.

i went through 2 sets of S001's on my old hawk sti, and my hatch sti they are a very good tyre. switched to the Goodyear Eagle Asy 3 and they are equally good

just make sure you always get the XL variant of whatever tyre you go for - you need the stiffer sidewalls

I used to swear by vredestein ultrac sessantas. Unbelievable wet grip and the coolest tread pattern of any tire.

Doesn't look like they do it in a 235 so might try some eagle F1s for my spec c soon!

Another vote for Pilot Sport 4's, got them on my other car and they're excellent, wet or dry.

S001 - very stiff side wall (and brilliant grip)

I've used them a few times and like them for the positive feedback

Only downside is wear rate - ~6K on my FSTi

S001's are fitted to the Legacy. I got a deal in Cardiff COSTCO for all 4 corners for £280 fitted with nitrogen filling.
Bloody good all rounder. They have been on for nearly two years.

Stiff Sidewalls are what the Impreza is designed for. Both RE050 and 070 O.E. tyres are stiff walled offerings. Fundamentally, a stiff sidewall is suitable for a Front Wheel Drive car and a rounded softer wall for rear wheel drive cars. A Sierra Cosworth, rear biased was crap on stiff side wall tyres.

Having said that, for next week, you'll be wanting Winter Tyres!!

As above-mentioned stiff sidewalls are a must . When I spoke to Peter cambridge about geo settings he said the front end was designed for it. He recommended running higher pressure up front as well.

Are you a Costco member? Think Goodyear’s are £100 off this month, they also do Michelin’s and Bridgestone

Worth it with Costco for the tyres. Only issue is finding somewhere to store all the bog roll.

Tyre reviews is a good site for seeing what’s good , i think Vredestein Ultrac Vorti are a good tyre , it is like oils can be a very personal decision for some , just don’t go for a cheap option
