Rockabilly, that looks lovely! I especially like those wheels, and the fact that it hasn't got an STI wing

Don't suppose anyone know this car? Looks like good spec in a clean lowish mileage shell.
Gonna go have a look later

IIRC there used to be a red spec-c that was raced in the Kent motorsport society race series (lydden hill and brands)... it had some blue wings and bumper fitted after an incident.

Only spec c I know of to actually be raced, which feels like a bit of a shame

Think this car is owned by "banhama" he is active on the type-ra forum.

Also the charcole interior, passenger sun visor, central locking, electric mirrors, rev limiter buzzer, wheels would have been the standard STI items and not the nicer BBS ones and you need to get the underneath protected or it will rust.
Iain Litchfield imported the first red one back in 2003, then he bought the Red, White and Blue ones in (plates ending b/c/d) which I had one of, the blue one is or was on seriously low miles (9000 at the last count), the red one was down to be broken for parts a few years back, still a rare car though the limiteds but not worth much more than a standard 17inch version (bought mine for less than 12k with 20k on the clock back in 2009).

I think you’re showing your age Tony

The S cars seem to take far longer to sell than the Spec C & RA - just look how long it took to sell that S203 last time despite being only about £15k.
I remember a 54 plate Spec C RA for sale up in orkney about 8 years agi, 8k miles on the clock, Litchfields imported it, sold for 11 or 12k in the end as they couldnt shift it, was in mint condition.
For the extra money that people add to the value for a Spec C, its not worth the asking price, one there one autotrader wanting 21k for a hawk 07 plate with 50k miles worth 15k max on a good day and they are cheaper to buy than a standard STI.

As for the S202, its the only S car to be based on a Spec C but didnt have a DCCD because it was manual only and they had a better set up with the front and rear LSD's, its a very under rated car and like all the new age S cars it had 320ps from the factory v 280 on the Spec C and Spec C RA's

I actually enquired about that one hoping he would come down a fair wack as it had been up for ages and at an unreasonable price as it was. Turns out it was an R grade import and resprayed as well!

So after speaking to torqueGT about long timeframes abd import costs and weighing up what I could achieve with my budget I decided to go for something already here.

https://www.citymotorshounslow1.co.uk/used-cars/search-results?make=SUBARU&vehicleType=cars

Deposit is down, I didn't pay asking.
It is incredibly clean and clearly been looked after to a high standard. Whatever I brought in I would have spent a decent amount of money refurbishing and replacing to freshen the car up. This car has some every decent kit that can be taken off and sold to leave me with some cash after replacing for new standard parts. That's how I'm justifying it anyways, the missus doesn't seem to agree haha.

Car was aparantly owned by MD developments I don't suppose anyone knows the car?

Advertised as a 2010 year. Surely that's the year it came in to the country?

I think Torque GT push a few potential buyers away with their long lead times

I contacted them about an import. 10-12 weeks to get the car landed, then another 6 to prep the car - I mean what takes 6 weeks to do?

.
