NEWBIE QUERY
Hello,
I've acquired my wife's Legacy Estate, 2003 2L AWD, Engine Type BH5, 60k miles.
Compared to my old Nissan Primera 2.2 t/c diesel the Legacy seems very sluggish when accelerating and is reluctant to keep to a cruising speed of around 80 mph.
What do I do to check that everything is working properly and are there any basic mods which will liven it up?
thanks in anticipation,
Rob Fretwell

To be honest there isn't much that can be done to liven them up, if its the N/A model you have..
They are asthmatic to say the least especially in the larger Legacy. It certainly will will feel sluggish when compared to a TD.
Regarding checking its all working well I'd look at changing plugs/leads, decent oils, air/fuel/oil filters etc. All can be done at relatively low cost.
I ran an N/A Impreza for a three years whilst my Turbo was off the road and it was horribly slow. But looked after it with basic service items (plus a MAF and 02 sensor etc) and it was bomb proof.
