Default Looking to import my first scoob soon!

Just thought i'd introduce myself as I hope to be on here a lot more when I get a STI.

I've had quite a lot of cars and jap cars have always stood out for me. I've never had a subaru before but I was very close to buying a new hatch sti in 2009 but opted for the focus rs mk2 instead.

But ever since then I've still longed for one. So I've decided I'm going to try and source a R205, failing that then a spec c hatch. Looking to get one beginning of next year if all goes to plan and if I find the right car.

I'll keep my updates on this thread for any interested.

Some of my past cars have been evo 4, S2000, DC2 integra type r, ep3 civic type r, clio 172 cup, bmw m235i and currently have a clio rs 220 trophy.

Welcome and good luck with the future purchase, I take delivery of my import in the next couple of weeks and can’t wait.
Who are you using to import your car?

Awesome, what you getting?

Haven't quite decided yet, spoke to a few already. Torque GT's service sounds great and not heard anything bad about them. However they said the R205 needs to be over 10 years old to register over here so has said a spec c would be better.

I spoke with others who said the R205 can be registered but may need extra testing like IVA. So I will get back to Torque about that. They seem a bit pricey but looks worth it.

I have been speaking with Aberdeenshire Imports as they are local too. Will speak to a few more as I have plenty time to decide as I'm in no rush. Who did you go with? Would be great to hear how you get on when you pick up your car.

I’ve got a Hawkeye STI, it got into the country last week so just needs to be registered and under sealed and then it’s all mine.
I’ve used Torque GT, they have been excellent throughout, very knowledgable and helpful, yes you may pay a bit more than other places but you certainly get good service, Darren is very good.
I’ll feedback once I’ve completed the process

Good stuff, you must be excited!

I think that must be the worst part of the wait, when it arrives in the UK but you still have to wait a few weeks!

Just waiting, I can’t get into the docks and it’s a 3hr drive to Taunton where Torque GT are based. Should be a nice drive back though

Torque are near Ashburton, a long way from Taunton. They imported my spec c hatch and I personally wouldn't use them again. It's all been covered before on here.
Speak to Juggers on here, who bought his R205 in himself.

Spoke with Juggers and Torque GT are right enough, I won't be able to import a R205 unless it 10 years old or unless I want to spend a fortune. So it might just have to be a spec c.
