My first time visiting the Goodwood festival of speed and what a place it is, definitely going back next year I even got invited by BMW to drive the new 530e M performance up the Goodwood Hill so what a great experience going up the hill(maybe a better car next time),

I'll have to watch than one.

I missed the FOS again this year. Without doubt the best show I've been to. Is fantastic. Gotta try the revival too, amazing experience.

Does smell of that doesn't it, wins two years running then not invited for a 3rd.

When I was at RCM last year, I congratulated Olly on his amazing achievement.

I then added, "I'm guessing McLaren were none too pleased, then?" To which he leant across and whispered, "Yeah, you could say that."

Not too bad Mark Higgins finished 3rd behind a GroupC/IMSA and an IndyCar.

Considering Mark Higgins Subaru was just a shell at Prodrive in April when I last saw it it's even more impressive.

It's the white caged shell at the back of the photo below.

Yep, although there had been some new metal welded into the inner wheel arches so some fabrication work and possibly some work to fix the poor airflow through the radiator they had in the Isle of Mann. Think I saw a bit of film of Prodrive engineers drilling holes in the front of it.

Great day out, recommended to anyone who hasn't been before.

As for Olly not being there, bit disappointed not to see the Gobstopper but fully understand the need to keep the line up different each year.

When I was last down there, Matt eluded that RCM were about to work on a new project.................

Whether it's gonna be a *****-out racer like the two GS's, ain't got a clue.

Sorry, mate, I was more refering to space/measurement instead of weight. Maybe in English it means both!?

But yes, 600 kg more is massive (P1 GTR is 50 kg lighter than the P1).
Not to forget the advantage in downforce the GroupC-car has (should be massive too, even its not so important on this kind of track).

I would love to see what the Caterham 620 R was capable of , but afaik it never did a timed run.

This came up the hill on thursday when i was there, i asked at the Subaru showroom on saturday to see if it was a special edition, but all they could tell was it was from the USA invited over by subaru, i was a bit shocked when it came round the bend as i hadnt seen it go up all day.
