Default Found the weirdest thing in my car....

I spent the weekend swapping out the carpet in my Blob STI, and was totally stunned when I lifted out the old carpet...

I found £65 in change just sitting under the carpet, and inside that cross bar! I cannot for the life of me work out how it got there!

Anyone found anything weirder?

No, but I lost around £65 from my pocket while sitting in that car.
I can PM my address if you like?

I did once find about 50 wrappers from £20 notes wrapped in £500 blocks under the back seet of my car, a MkI Escort. No notes though.

Brilliant. I'll add it to my list of stuff to check when sorting out rattles.

Finding Jap coins in an imported car is common because they do it for luck...but British money is a different story - especially £65. Best get those old £1 coins spent! Hang on though, it could be lucky money. 'Invest' it all in lottery tickets and see if you can turn yourself into a multi-millionaire.

Weirdest thing I found in my scooby when I bought it was a Robbie Williams Swing cd. I can only guess at the peculiarity of the person who actually bought such a vile product.

found a few Japanese coins actually glued to the chassis in pretty much the same place

and pretty much every car i taken the carpet up on had loose change under, no-where near as much as you found tho

wonder how many people driving around hearing a ***** noise of coins clattering together think it's an issue with the car?!

Aside from the interesting find why did you need to completely replace the carpets in a blob? Surely a good shampoo could have brought them up as good as new?

I took the carpet out of mine and found a layer of dog food.

I literally bought a scooby with the scooby snacks to go along with it.

Ive replaced the blue carpet with a black spec d one! I'm pretty much changing the whole interior, except for the seats and main dash (for now). Other than those, I don't think there will be a single part I've not changed.

The thing that's got me confused is how it all got there? The carpet is fixed down pretty well and there are no obvious holes that I could see money falling through. Espescially with it getting into the crossbeam thing. And especially so much!

.... and dog food?!

Ahhh the old forgotten Impreza piggbbank eye! You will find a slot in the top of the spoiler to insert coins.

Maybe it was the previous owners slush fund he was trying to hide from the missis, gave up in the end as inflation was killing him!

I once heard a story of a small Japanese person found hidden in the airbox, not sure how true this is tho

Only strange thing I found was 'dynamite' hidden in my ECU,when you put your foot down it would make the Pistons explode.....B00M!!!

I'll get mi coat and switch the lights off on mi way out!
