Japfest 2017
Booked a nice suite for me and the Mrs not far from Silverstone.
Is anyone else planning on going?.
Went to the japfest 2 last year and was quite good so thought we would go again

I've booked tracktime at Donington Japfest but looking at a few YouTube videos from last year it looks like a lot of young idiots taking to the circuit. Overtaking either side of other cars and people with an ego trip not letting other cars past. I wonder do many actually listen at the briefing. I certainly won't be pushing hard for fear of others. Probably a minority but enough to notice!

I went last year, no track time available when I booked, but when I asked on the day me and my friend both got our cars on in the afternoon.
Loads of chunks of rubber on the track by that time because of all the drifting.
Some bad drivers out there, you had a few offs and a red flag guaranteed on pretty much every session. at one point I was sandwiched between 2 cars going in to a corner so I had to back off.
But once you break away from traffic and the cars start to spread out a few laps in it is a good track.
Couple of Subaru stands there but it didn't seem like a lot compared to the number of cars there on the day.
And trade stands all had big discounts on as well, I think Mishimoto where over 20% off
I would go back this year, but I need to be in work

So how was Japfest @ Silverstone ? I'm thinking of taking my young nephew to Donington but fear it could just end being a car park show with track time and a drift section ...

i didn't stay all day, after my very short track session, and two complete laps of the cars i got bored and left... I'd say if you're close enough - have a looo in, easy couple hours working round spotting everything.
