I recently changed my oil and filter using shell helix 5w 30. Noticed the other morning when it was really cold outside some piston slap. Will dropping my oil again and using 10w 40 be of any benifit? Euro carparts got good offers on so will do it weekend if it will help. Car is a 2004 wrx mapped on carberry rom

not sure if it will make a difference but oilman normally recommends 5/40

I've always used millers cfs 10/40 mainly or 10/50 never had a problem in any of my scoobs and genuine filter with sump washer changed each time
