Default What to tape up for shotblasters/coaters

Got my front hubs separated and front calipers with pistons out. What do i tape up? All the runners inside the hubs and over the piston chambers?

Also i know it sounds stupid but should i clean off all the grease etc prior to this?

Calipers. Roll up tape and fill the pistons bores. Then use duct tape to cover the top. The tape underneath helps protect and stop the duct tape collapsing. Also the calipers half's were the brake fluid goes from one side to another. . Also the brake pipe fitting at of caliper. And bleed nipples.

Generally any bearing surface or fluid transfer areas.

Once blasted get them cleaned and re cleaned and clean again to remove any grit

Aye best to clean old the grease as stop contaminating the blasting grit

+1 for this. If your refurbish the pistons and scrapping old ones you can leave them half in the calliper and tape up to help protect.
