Mine is 260whp and 333bhp. (Scoobyclinic dyno)

400whp would be about 500bhp on a WRX and about 520bhp on an STi. As the STi has more tranny losses. On a fwd vehicle 400whp would be about 440bhp, less tranny losses.

why do you literally compare wrx to sti in EVERY thread. **** me youre annoying and you do yourself no favours. The guy asked for WHP relative to BHP not ****in comparethemarket.

In the USAiii everything is quoted at whp but not always correct, ive seen people with graphs of 20Gs running 400whp lol as for the donut matt he is incorrect there is no difference is transmission losses between the sti and wrx, its roughly in the region of 18-22%.

Id say there whp horsepower is same as our flywheel

example

Wheel Horse Power - at the wheels.
Brake Horse Power - at the fly wheel.

WHP is the figure that is actually measured by a dyno.

The flywheel figure is just a calculation done which assumes transmission loss at a set percentage (say, 11%) to give you a flywheel figure.

WHP is more accurate in as much as it's the actually figured measured. However, it's obviously going to be lower than a calculated flywheel figure, so BHP is often used as it's a higher, more impressive figure.

All dyno's vary though, so figures will be different, regardless of whether you quote WHP or BHP (plus weather conditions, tyre pressures etc).

You're half right. A WRX and STi both measured on the same dyno at 260hp at the wheels will both be given a print out of 330bhp. (obviously different dynos vary on readings) What the dyno operator isn't allowing for is that the WRX does have a more efficient drivetrain so in theory the WRX printout should read 315bhp. Also 18% loss is quite generous for a 4x4. My PPP was roaded at 187.3 at the hubs (AET) and Prodive claim circa 260bhp for the upgrade. Massive losses or Prodrive/Scoobyclinic allow for massive losses. (AET only provide hub measurements)

So that's:

187.3 atw = 261.0 bhp (AET dyno)
260.5 atw = 332.6 bhp (Scooby Clinic Dyno)

I have printouts of both if the usual STi fanboys want to call BS.

Wow, amazing Matt, just as a comparison, my old Spec C had 312bhp and put 265bhp of that on the road.... oh thats more than your wrx with less power probably something to do with the better diffs they put on the STI's

He's just added it himself, don't you know that being banned is worth 20bhp all day long

I think this is an issue that should be addressed by IB. If someone gets a ban for being a naughty boy they should make a post in Admin to let interested parties know why said member was banned. It might go some way towards suppressing 'inappropriate' posting behaviour.
aRSe_Matt's definitely been on here since that BANNED script appeard on his profile so it may well be self inflicted, although I have to say I have no idea what access restrictions are placed on a banned member if it was genuine.

Whatever, enjoy the silence!

Matt is indeed banned; he hasn't written BANNED as his status! If you search for a member, if they are banned, their profile won't come up. It will say 'no matches found'.

It will be temporary, many of us have been in the naughty bin from time to time.

You all missed me when I was gone, you'll feel the same about RSTWAT in a few days...afterall newbie members don't really have the wrench time in Subarus to be casting old timers out.

Thing is that doesn't apply to Matt, he actually has no idea what he's talking about.
