Why.....because neither of these P1's were that good
You could have bought a far better P1 last week for 10 - 11k that's had loadsa money spent on it
We're also not talking Ferrari's or Porsches, this is a Subaru Impreza

The car that's now 24k had this lot of advisories on it's last MOT, so I wouldn't say it's been pampered given all it's 'dealer stamps':

Advisory notice item(s)
Exhaust has a minor leak of exhaust gases (7.1.2)
Nearside Front Anti-roll bar rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement (2.4.G.2)
Offside Front Anti-roll bar rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement (2.4.G.2)
Offside Front Anti-roll bar has slight play in a ball joint (2.4.G.2)
Rear brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (3.5.1i)
Nearside Front coil spring corroded (2.4.C.1b)
Offside Front coil spring corroded (2.4.C.1b)
Nearside Rear coil spring corroded (2.4.C.1b)
Offside Rear coil spring corroded (2.4.C.1b)

To be fair you would expect that due to the age of the car - after all its been driven for the last 15/16 years and not wrapped in cotton wool.
As far as I am concerned an MOT is only as good as the tester on the day.

As the car has 24 service stamps all Subaru I would guess on it being MOT'd by a Subaru dealer aswell and if thats the worst they can pull on it - the car sounds ok to me. (Although not £24995 OK at the minute )

RAF1 everyone to their own, the 1 owner and stamps look good for the car, but for me the car was worth 10 - 11k max, look at posts #17 & 18
if the owner got 14.5k at auction good on them
Now the garage has upped it to 24k that's a ridiculous price, but hey keep those prices rising, makes good reading for all us P1 owners

The good P1's are looked after better than that one, but sadly most are wrapped in cotton wool, used for shows and summer days out
If I was paying top dollar I know which P1 I'd prefer to buy, a P1 owners pampered toy

Lillyart14, if you're anywhere near Alton in Hampshire, you should go and see the 22b for sale at Park Lane UK, way toooooo expensive but good to have a look

No..... the first owner in a member on here ( he post on here some times , he is in Staines , Heathrow area , He had to sell because he had it stolen while he was on Holiday but the scums did not get far as he had the Clifford Anti- jack system fitted .
So his wife forced him to sell it because she was scared that they will try and break in again for the keys , it was well maintained but not running as high bhp as it is now .

18" Oz superleggra, Ap racing 6 pots big brake kit and brembo twin piston kit at the back, MD321T turbo,Motec m800 pro ecu, 800cc injectors, HKS intercooler, UK Sti 6 speed box,
RCM Carbon Prophaft, Parallel fuel rails , uprated Fuel regulator, Spec C bits ....the list go on and on , spent the over £40K on mods alone up till now
my wife keep moaning that I should sell the P1 as it is a money pit !, my daily M3 cost less to run than this car !!

does the wife realise how much you'd loose if you sold, or is she worried you keep on spending
that's a nice spec on the car, make sure you hide the keys as well

No your wrong , it market forces , you should see the price of Classic cars like the Ferrari 308/328/358 , pre 90's Porsche 911s...even the 996 models are going up very fast , the older the P1 get the more it will fetch in Auctions, like every classic car .....believe me I seen it happen to so many cars from the past , I sold mine 1987 944 Turbo in 1992 for Peanuts , now to find a good one you'll need £10k+( 80's 911 Carreras are £30K+), you have to take in consideration that these car cannot be bought new anymore so good examples always commands good money .

22b's are £40K+

I do agree with you although haven't 22b's gone from 20k to 40k in like ~5 years which is pretty insane?
