First experience of Godspeed
Today I had my first experience of dealing and buying from Godspeed.
How simple, pleasant and quick it was. Explained what I wanted, couple of questions asked of me over usage of my car, to ensure I was buying the right discs for my purpose. and transaction processed.
All being well delivery tomorrow.
10/10 for service thanks

Well I got a text today from DPD saying my delivery would be with me between 10:41 and 11:41 and my driver is call Jack.
10:43, Knock at the door my first Godspeed delivery is made.. bang on.. very impressed with that service, and know where I will be going back for brake bits in future.

Did a track day at cadwell today . Using Godspeed two piece disc's they held up all day no fade and pushed very hard, (well as hard as I can push anyway) running 400bhp-420 ftlb very impressed . So good service and also good product from Ian.

Everything we send out needs signing for , so it's guaranteed to get there , which unfortunately costs
Cheers Ian

That's exactly what our couriers charge for a small packet , we are making nothing on that , I've given up just sending things out first class post which would be much cheaper , the amount of people who say they never received it and want a refund , not a replacement funnily enough , was getting a bit out of hand, it's obvious people have them , but try it on , you can thank eBay for that going on

I know courier costs first hand. You can use cheap companies if you like such as Hermes but you get what you pay for.
Try Interlink Iain, we are charged £6.00 plus vat for up to 10kg. But then with packing materials you are not far of £10 anyway.
Perfectly reasonable price for a decent, trackable and reliable courier.

I'd personally much rather pay the extra and use the likes of Interlink, APC or Direct Logistics. At least you can get hold of someone and they are able to contact the driver there and then while you are on the phone or locate it quickly if it goes missing.

Always buy my Discs and pads off Ian. Normally being lazy and just emailing for prices .
Normally go for the grooved discs and Kevlar pads.
Only issue I had (And not the fault of Ian's or Godspeed) was that on the Impreza Diesel Hatch the rear disc sizes advertised are too small, and luckily Ian had the WRX Hatch sized rears in stock (Which is what the Impreza Diesel requires) and just did a swap/replacement free of charge.
Same can be said of the Daihatsu YRV Turbo. Front disc sizes advertised only fit the non-turbo YRV. Again I buy these items off God Speed

Problem with Royal Mail is if a parcel goes missing, you have to wait up to two weeks for it to be classed as 'missing'. And have you tried getting hold of them? Nightmare.

I've never had an issue with Royal mail when using their signed for and tracked service.
Admittedly, I had a parcel go missing with them a few years back but I sent it second class unrecorded.
As long as a signature is required and you're able to trace the parcel then you're pretty safe. And at less than half the price of what Ian pays it's worth using them. I certainly wouldn't be happy paying over a tenner for a small parcel that's for sure.
Royal mail have recently had a shake up of their price structure so it's now more reasonable to use them. A couple of years back their prices were astronomical and to be honest, for large heavy parcels they still are. But for small, fairly light parcels they are pretty good.

Sent via royal mail, first class signed for and trackable with the code on the reciept via their website. Cost was £4.40.
I posted them at 16.00 on the Thursday evening, chap recieved them by 9 am Friday morning. Can't grumble at that.

i ordered coversion brackets thursday past having seen them in stock, read about delivery terms using dpd on site. Waited about doing odd jobs about the house on mon/tues with no show only to get message on tueday afternoon that they had just only newly been dispatched. Not too impressed and wont be using again. Messaged my thoughts and told due to highland postcode he had to use different courier and the courier cost was 20 alone, tosh. Arrived by dpd on the next thursday. Think i will stick with ICP and alyn.

I can get better value brake parts else where. I gave up on godspeed after making telephone enquiries about being reimbursed for exchange callipers, got given some old flannel about taking a month to process. Still haven received it, I'm not gonna bother pursuing it either. I blew smoke up godspeeds *** before this happened, I thought they were wonderful.

But if your not happy with that , or the service you have had from me , send it back for a full refund , including reimbursing you for the delivery charge back to us.

We strip the calipers , inspect all threads , chemically clean them and crack test them before we refund , they either pass our checks or sent back to the customer , you can be safe in the knowledge that if you get calipers from us they are safe to use.
If you PM me your details I'll get Ben to check your status , I'm sure all refunds were up to date when I left Friday as I'm out the country on holiday at the moment
Cheers Ian
