It's a bit nasty this so cover your ears OK?

. . . of my key fob that is

Didn't notice and the battery dropped out on my driveway . . . .
Good news: wife found it
Bad news: didn't know what it was so threw it away

Anyone fancy taking theirs apart and telling me the number off the battery?

I would need to know what alarm system you have fitted to your STI V before even hazarding a guess.

Dear Anoraks all,
I'm sorry should have made it clear that it's the battery for the SUBARU KEY not the Sigma alarm fob (which doesn't have a stoopid screw waiting to fall out).

My key also has a battery - and on mine the screw also fell out and so I removed the battery and used superglue to recreate the fob!
PS The battery powers a little lite so that you can insert the key - not needed on Sigma cars with remote locking.

Not that its relevant - but I dropped my entire Key set, alarm fob, everything down a grate yesterday morning - which was a bit of a bummer. fortunately I have Supergard gold cover so I am insured against the costs of replacements - I had a spare set on me - always have all my keys in case some idiot brakes in the house while i'm on holiday or something.
Only problem I have is that the the original Subaru keyfob acts as a central locking key - suppose I should not be that concerned as the Sigma key overrides the need for it. I dont know yet if it will be a problem getting a key cut as the Subaru key system is a bit weird - i.e. you have to push it in to get it out again, but I guess this should not be a problem. I have always noted that there is only one way to put the key in and its a pain when you put the key in one way and it does not turn, you put it in the other way and it does - and I know this effects most Scooby owners - just hope that the new key will work

Another go . . . OK my Subaru key controls the central locking on my STi5 (same as Steve's) - or least it used to 
So any nice person out there with a remote Subaru locking key care to help with battery number? (I know I don't need it but if I don't replace it "something" will go wrong.
