Hay guys,

It's a little older than I wanted but it's made up for other things,so more than happy. They gave me a good enough deal on my bmw so deposit put down and pick it up next week. any suggestions or comments are appreciated.

Welcome

Looks like a really clean car
The only slight reservation is the lack of engine pictures and no mention of mods? Looks like a boost gauge fitted so I imagine somethings been done?

Other than that looks great

good idea on the specialist

One point to note from the ad is it reads like it's had 2 cam belt services, bearing in mind that AFAIK cam belt is due every 60k that's a major plus and a good indication that it's been well looked after

I think you've found a good un

Cambelts are done on age and/or mileage depending on what comes first.

Nice one mate. I am over the moon I can't believe I've left it this long to get one. I'm now 27 and always thought it was one of them cars that's not affordable/Inshurance to much ect. Not planning to mod it any more just yet just get used to driving it and learn more about it.

If you haven't already sorted your insurance then please feel free to give us a try. If you wanted to Private Message me some contact details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.

Adrian Flux have never been able to give me a quote either, Shame they missed out on over ten years of insurance!

Good times with your first Scooby mate, theres nothing like those first drives when you feel like you are in a tank.

Definitely get rid of those silver mesh grills, get the black ones or just keep them off

Lol the mesh is getting a lot of hate from you guys, I personally like it, think it makes the front end look clean and oem.
Hopefully picking it up early next week the front discs are being charged as it has a slight judder. 2bh I didn't realise but they said they were being changed if I was to buy it or not. so a bonus in my eyes.

How can it look OEM? Its not OEM. Take it off, then its OEM. It looks chav-e-m.

Nice car. But I cant but worry that its missed a Service in 2010? Looking at the service book picture. I take it other services have been done in another service book for 2010,2013,14 & 15?
If advertised with 'SILVER, Full service history' then I think that's false advertising.
I miss my Black 2003 STI. First thing I did was get the PPP put on and you will have better fun

Dan,

Whenever anybody on here mentions Adrian Flux, it always seems to be to say that Flux couldn't offer them insurance or that the quote was so ludicrously high that it was instantly laughed at. In fact, I've never heard of anybody having their modified Impreza insured with Flux, although I'm sure some people must.

Why do you make posts on threads inviting members to get quotes from you yet remain so uncompetitive? Why don't you, as a company, review the way in which you go about calculating premiums for Impreza drivers? I'm writing this not to criticise you but to try to understand why you quote such extortionately expensive insurance and why you seem intent on alienating one of your main target markets by pricing them out of the market.

Ps. To OP, I'm not normally a fan of the silver grilles, but, in my opinion, your soon-to-be car pulls them off. And some don't like gold wheels on a silver car, but again, I think they go well. Looks very clean. Enjoy it!

AMG SL55 insured for £25K with all mods declared - £590. Brilliant price

PS I am 49 with an exemplary driving record though!
