Yes it had me worried when it cut out for no reason turns out one of the wires on the dbw throttle had broken off so ECU shut the car down it was a easy fix thankfully and could enjoy the rest of the day trouble free ��
It was a great day. I didn't really speak to any members on here but had a great time. Gearbox was in bits by lunchtime so ended up leaving early to head back to Glasgow. I hope this ends up a yearly event, was really a great format. I've been to track days but nothing like this before. Some really awesome cars on display.
It was a pleasure to attend an event for such a great guy, I only knew Simon through mapping my car but he helped me so much throughout the years.

What's your opinion of those new tyres Dave in comparison to what you have used before?
I think they were perfect for Elvington with it being a rough track
They have only slightly worn which was a surprise after tripoding all day
I look forward to trying them at oulton to see how they compare to the a048's

It was a great tribute to Simon, and as mentioned earlier a day of mixed emotions. A lot of people gave a lot of time and effort behind the scenes and on the day organising this event, with all proceeds to Melanoma UK - well done all involved including the competitors/spectators
