Default Scoobysprint Round 2

ok looks like i'll be going to this as a mate is begging for company.

was just wondering if you could get some more speakers up further down lol because i moved around in the first round to see where the best angle/view was and the spot that was the best.. was along the last stretch.. but you couldnt hear the speakers so couldnbt get the lap times.

other than that it was great! o and how didn them motorbikes run with those unsilenced exhausts? and are they going to be runnning again at this event?

on and last thing, we need an ice cream van there if its as hot as it was during the first round.

cheers

LOL re the ice cream van.. I reckon they'd have cleaned up!

We'll see is there's anything that can be done about the speakers.

But we're actually trying to come up with an idea that will get everyone closer to the action anyway, so it might not be necessary.

Look forward to seeing you there again!

Need some seating stands up if possible, I agree about speakers & mmmmmmmm ICE CREAM!!!!! YUM YUM!
OH and a visible time clock/stopwatch so people can see time as us drivers go round, would make a good crowed pleaser if they can compare times on way round, Just a thought!!!

o thats a good idea, a visible stopwatch/time would help for spectators

lol and good call for seats, forgot that, maybe we should bring our deck chairs from home and have them folded in the boot

and yeah simon, am sure you can talkj an ice cream man to pop down for the day, he'll make a killing, even if he puts 10p up on all his prices

What about camera men and a few tvs or one large one so the action away from the start can be viewed only joking
I think its not for spectators at all
No stalls
Just two gresey spoons
Toilet
Only one top car their prodrive
Imho anyway
Ill still prob go next time just incase it gets better

lol its not that bad.. due to that course layout , it was hard to see points between launch and the end but eveyrone is open there, talk to the drivers, makes it more fun, get to know how the cars are running, what problems they are having on the track etc.

i spoke to a few and a lot were planning more mods for the next couple of rounds. some who were running standard were going to run modified later on (mikee singh for one)

some were saying they cars werent set up for as much bends.. etc.

should get better as the rounds go on

On a serious note what time do I need to be there?

LOL @ garetgax

Great news you're sorted

At a guess there are at least 10 cars / drivers at round 2 that weren't at round 1.

I'm hoping we'll see ScoobyClinic's "fatboy", as they had technical problems for round 1.

I've heard through the grapevine that Tracktive have been doing some testing in order to try to find another couple of seconds, to beat Prodrive's WRC2008, and I understand Andy Forrest has his race car ready, so it could be quite a show.

I think the boys at Banbury must be a little nervous, at least!

Yes, Trev has done some work on the speaker set-up based on your comments, so it should be better

Although the commentary will not be quite as continuous throughout the day, as Trev himself is standing in on this event!

But, the results will be printed regularly, by ScoobyNet's very on PTMW! and put up on the board next to the start line.

Sadly my back went completely on the way back from last event and I'm still not well enough to get up there, so I'm gutted to say it looks like I'm not going to be able to make it.

Have a great time everyone.. and bring your sunblock.. its gonna be a scorcher!

4 ish is totally fine.

The only thing that happens after that is the showdown, which is purely the top 5 overall, and just for bonus points (for 1st and 2nd).

So unless you think you'll be challenging for 1st or 2nd overall, 4pm is perfect.

Sign on at absolutely any time after 9:30am.. but obviously the sooner you get there and sign on, the more driving time you'll get.

Just got back and have to say what a great day Ive had. Ok I didnt set the world on fire with my times but I did have a constant grin on my face all day and the weather was fantastic. Only thing I would say froma novices point of view it wouldve been better to have a free practice session in the morning with timed runs from 12.00 onwards. Got there at 9.15 ish and sat about till 11.00 when we were finally allowed on track for one practice session.

just my 2 penneth. But all I can say is again is the day was brilliant.

Remember you can bulk upload them to Scooby Sprint Championship and people can then tag them with driver names, etc.
