Default I love the holidays!!!

Got a bit done today!! Basically got myself organised for what I need to do this weekend............ mmmmmmm and for the next 2 weeks LOL!! Its great being a teacher btw. I'm not in this job for the holidays.....honest

Got is moved and up on axel stands

Got a new set of AP racing bell to disc bolts fitted + set of DS3000s delivered

Along with a set of R888s 215 45 R17s going onto a set of Volk racing EMUs

Made up this Varley red top 30 cage out of some aluminum I had lying around at work yesterday. Its gonna go behind the passenger seat in the foot well.

Tomorrow I plan on rapping SS header and fitting it along with fitting an Apexi 3" exhaust system to replace the smaller restrictive one. Will also try fitting and bleeding the brakes, fitting ARBs and wax oiling under the arches............ so much to do!!!

More photos to come

Looks good so far... The bracket you fabricated for your battery looks exactly the same as the one I just got from ebay for my dry cell battery (when it arrives)

Yeah I'll be tracking it. Just don't know how far to go though. Totally strip it out to the bare bones or leave the door cards, dash sound proofing etc in it?? Decisions decisions..............

Just strip it out... your not using it as a daily driver, and going to be a track car so you may as well go the full fledge

Yeah, it'll be similar to the ones on ebay cause thats where I copied the design from. Made it on Thursday at work (high school) cause there wasn't many pupils kicking around with it being the last day and all.

Was just reading through your track car thread ..... looking good!!

P.S What Uni course you doing?? Teaching IS a pain on the *** tbh, but thats not all I do, I'm still heavily involved with my old precision engineering job and get quite a few homers doing that which gets me the extra readies for my toys

Didn't get much done today really.

Took out the fog lights
Took out the A/C
Took of that small exhaust system
Took the Apexi exhaust system of the 4 door WRX STI (which I am now breaking)

Need to make some mods to the Apexi downpipe for a lamda probe though....Have a look at the difference in size between the 2. The Apexi one should free up some more horses.

Tomorrow, I will probably wrap up my equal length headers and fit them. Also under seal each of the arches.

Haha, or you could always get your students to build you something

Aye my track build is getting there, but slowly and it doesn't help that i have a track day booked next month, and there's still loads to do

I'm doing BSc Computing & Networks... Suppose teaching can be a nightmare considering the youth of now days when I was a young'un (think I'm starting to get old)

Light weight crank pulley. Not ever gonna need the air con drive section ............. So I just turned it of to make it even lighter

The finished article, sweet eh??

Next on the agenda tomorrow, welding lamda threaded bush to the snake head down pipe, exhaust wrapping it and the headers/up pipe and making alloy mounts for my Corbeau Pro race seat to attach onto the original subframe Think all this will happen in one day??

Lets see................

LOL!! Cheers Jamz!! mInd you, if my pupils can use these then anyone can, easy!!

Ported and smoothed out the downpipe to get rid of some nasty steps that would hinder air flow and that. Ma mate Graeme in all fairness started it of and done the majority of work to it the other day and I just added a few finishing touches today. Cheers Graeme!!!

Got a bit of welding to the down pipe done today and wrapped the exhaust up pipe and then ran out of wrap for the manifold/header so couldn't finish that

As for the mounts for the seats, got them cut to size but didn't have time to drill the mount holes for the sub frame and seat fixing points.........

Wont be doing any work to the scoob for the next few days now as I will be fitting new PVC cladding, soffits and eves etc etc....... to my house due to the wooden original stuff now rotting and falling of
