T26 WRC - Frayz Engineering WRC S8 TARMAC SPECIAL - aka THE BOMBER
#3994
Well today she finally got a rear qtr panel stitched on. Looks so much better to start looking a bit more like a car again.
The panels are bang on the OEM panel gaps which unfortunately shows up how poor the bumper fits. This will be adjusted so it's perfect, rally boys don't care for panel gaps. But we do and it will be perfect.
Hopefully we can find a genuine ex works bumper and it should fit perfectly.

Dave @ DMS is a seriously talented fabricator and believe me, i get just as excited when i see the photos of the car and its progress. I already know what its going to look like and it still blows me away.
Its a very exciting time indeed. I havent driven the car for over a year now and to be honest, ive forgotten what it feels/sounds like to drive. I did however drive a modified Porsche GT2 last night and that was pretty eye opening.
Ive also just come back from my stag weekend which also involved some laps at the Nurburging, so the itch to get the car built is ever growing.
Watch this space, its gonna be cool

As was said to me when I got married
"Congrats, why should you be happy"
Be as well just giving me that shell now as you will never be aloud to finish it.
When is the plan to have it finished?

Same here , married the love of my life while my other love is being worked on and she said almost exactly the same to me , my only regret is that it wasn't ready for the day as I would of liked to drive it to the venue , but I got lent a brand new one instead so kind of made up for it
What was your wedding car ?

Congratulations on tying the knot. Marriage won't stop a thing!
Kids however, that will change your perspective a little. Make the most of it while you can 👍😂

Dom, as for my wedding car. Charlotte was in a 1957 S1 Bentley and I was in my mates LP640 Murci.

Exactly, find a girl that understands you're a petrolhead and loves you for it. It's all easy that way.
Cheers all, no kids for me just yet. Wanna enjoy life a bit more first.

Custom made adjustable T45, S515 TCAs to suit the OEM style caster block.
These can be swapped out if ever I decide to go with a WRC type caster block.
WRC fitment ones are off the shelf available from WRC spares.

Not stopped yet.
Check out my beautiful new WRC crossmember and S12b inspired TCAs. These are similar spec to the previous design but Dave decided to take a different route to reduce the chances of binding. Custom made to fit the OEM caster block, EN36 steel pins, T45 & S515 construction.
You'll see they're now hanging from a gorgeous T45 WRC lightweight crossmember.
Just love this stuff.

Well I'll start this off by wishing you and your wife all the best. Keep listening to her and she'll let you paint it pink
As for this thread, I just bought a 2002 bug, as it was a childhood dream and I just wen't through this thread from beginning in one day.
You mister are on par with Horacio, Christian and all the other amazing artists in the car world. You just chose to do it on your own, and I have nothing but awe and respect for that.
Thanks for the inspiration, and thanks for making me sell my hawkeye front end kit that I've been collecting this past month. Prodrive bits here I come!
