Looks great May I ask how much something like that is?

I saw a Rover V8 that was made into a coffee table, sorry don't have any pics or links. That chap used the pistons to rest the glass on. The piston head was attached via a foam ring to the underside of the glass. The piston rod was then free to rotate on the pin (gudgeon pin?) and went into the cylinder bore area somewhere. They were welded into position.

It looked really good, as it showed off not only the block, but the pistons as well

I think the rover V8 coffee table was done on top gear, after Clarkson decided to sell one of his challenge cars as furniture.

Clarkson did the same thing with a Porsche engine block a v6 i think - stripped it, cleaned it, put a glass/perspex top on it, job done

would love one myself.

It was the Porsche v8 from his 928 that he did that to. He also had the seats put on to bases etc too

Interested how you got your hands on this and how much it cost, obviously all internals and ancilleries have been removed so it is just Block/Heads and Sump Assembly, but still a good buy.

From photo looks like a rod or similar failed during its life Name: 131-3162_IMG.jpg

I have a polished V8 Engine block for sale if anyone is interested. PM for pictures.

Put a lot of work into it but there is no way the other half would allow in the house so quite happy to sell to a good home.

I pressume that table would sell for a fortune purely due to the price of the ferrari block ??
