looks like they only go up to 2010 MY as well https://www.haltech.com/product-cate...aru/wrx-06-10/
Yeh I also looked into that and found out they don't support my car. There are very few options for my car in reality, 3 in total, Open Source (which most mappers won't do on this model), EcuTek Racerom or Syvecs S6+ and S7+. Out of those the Syvecs would be the best option and now I've bought the ECU I'm kinda going down that expensive road.

Because it's far more difficult than older cars and some of the logging software doesn't work on the newer cars so you have to use different programs such as ECU-Edit, ecuflash and openport to change maps and check it's doing what it should do after each change. With older cars the software packages are easier. Jamie open source mapped my car to 335/420 without issue and it's faultless after he removed the Syvecs that was on it previously. Besides, when going up in power like I am then the car really benefits from alternative software like EcuTek or complete change of ECU to get better resolution in the tables & help control things better. It will drive far better then on the standard ECU and have far more safety feedback.

Also, minor project update:

Retrieved my FMIC intercooler pipework from the local powder coaters as they were useless and hadn't achieved even buying powder in the last few months. I have just dropped them off to another local powder coating company who's now getting them done by the end of next week.

I've also dropped thew 2x new rear boxes off to the local metal polishers for a bit of love.

Picked up the exhausts from the local metal polishers today. We use him for work and he's amazing.

He turned this:

Into this:

Then I Electro Etch marked my logo on the sides of the tailpipes (misuse of work resources again)

£30 well spent. Would have taken me weeks to polish those up and I'd have only buggered it up.

They are solid polished high grade stainless. They'll be fine. No concerns at all.

Intercooler pipes now finally back from the second powder coaters after the first place let me down after months and months of chasing. Done in satin perrin red. Will unwrap and take some better pictures at some point.

Thank you mate, that means a lot. I know how much of a perfectionist you are with your own cars.

Tial BOV spring arriving Monday and now its summer and the days are longer I can take the front bumper off again along with intercooler, air box etc and make sure everything fits. I've still got to design and make some shielding and ducting plates for the K&N typhoon that I'm going to get powder coated crinkle black. I've also got to modify my fog surround and make the air ducts fit around the massive fmic somehow.

Once I've done that then everything can get fitted and it'll probably be off to the clinic to complete and sort the Syvecs.

Job done! Sounds easy!!!!

Last few bits arrived today. 12psi Tial Q BOV spring, Tial Q 50mm blanking cover, o-ring and BOV clamp.

Can't say enough good things about Turbo Dynamics. There are currently hardly any Tial BOV springs in the UK and they have been awaiting stock from Tial in the US now for some time. As their shipment was delayed they rang round all the UK distributors for me to find the genuine spring I needed and got it in for me. All that effort for a spring. Honestly, they have been brilliant!

So over the Easter break I was able to get a job done on the car that has been hanging over me for a while. I was never happy with the black chrome look of the Rota wheels as they are just too bling for me, so I sanded down my brand new wheels and changed the colour back to my favourite Fiat 750 (Rota) bronze. Much happier with the car now.

I also took the opportunity to colour code the side wing decals to bronze.

Yeh I'm getting things slowly sorted actually. Still loads to get done, but been chatting to Kev at Scooby Clinic about a slot for my car to get the work done. He's even suggested sending my ECU asap so Pat can plug it in, see the history and set it up for my car. They already have a plug and play loom for my car and ECU on site so happy days. Just been crazy busy out of work recently so not set a date yet, but hoping to get it all done in May.
