Default **** Breaking -testing the water ****

************ Update with prices and availability **************

Well I didnt think I would be writing this, but the time has come for me to consider breaking my beloved impreza. I have a wedding coming up in the next year or so and need to free up some funds for various reasons.

Selling the scoob is not really an option as I know it would not get the value that the parts would, so breaking it is the only route.
Many of you will know my car and just how much effort, time and money has been lavished on this scoob

So over the next few months I will be taking it apart, but first I thought I better test the water and gauge just how much interest there is in the parts.
I will probably leave it intact first so anyone after the block and ancillaries can come and hear it running and then after that take it apart for all the other parts.

* Please note that this post was a way to test the water and it will be a while before I can actually break the car. I need to sort out a cheap runaround for the time and then start dismantling it in my spare time with some help from friends. I am only saying this in case people think the parts are available now

I will PM you with a rough idea, but I must add that the spoiler is pretty much securely bonded to the boot and might need to be sold with the spoiler

Great news for the person who buys the spoiler, but not so great news for you

The doors have a few dings, nothing major apart from the drivers side where my lovely ex-wife decided to put her foot in it

Hi Swiss,

as said above - too good to break.

However if you do I'll have first dibs on the STi foglight covers, short shift and gauges obviously depending on the price

Yes H, quite a few of my friends have said exactly the same thing, but times are hard for us right now and I have quite a few big bills approaching, so it wasnt an easy decision to make, but I have resigned myself to the fact that the time has come to make the girl (the scoob ) pay for herself in some way after all the money I have spent on her !! I have no regrets because it was the reason I met my fiance, a lot of my close mates, the car has provided me with some great experiences be it meets, racing and events and still puts a smile on my face when I do the daily commute. You cant say that about many cars

I would rather some other people now enjoy all the goodies in a fair exchange for some readies

Hi Chris,

Door cards possibly for me, condition dependant on the drivers one as mine is tatty and that's my main one to replace, as for the others I fancy doing some more colour coding as long as the switches/plastic inserts are all left in place with them.
