Wink MY98 STi type R 2.35... ( Big-ish spec )

Well, need to do this sometime... ( big sigh )
Right, I don't really wanna sell the Type R... but, reached the age of 25 now, and have just got my 1st house.
Still waiting for the searches and all the other crap involved in buying a house. Was due to move in beginning of August but its looking more September time now...

Anyway, back to the car.
Over the last 2 years of ownership with the Type R, I've had to take the ruff with the smooth. lol, like alot of Impreza owners. I've gone through the dreaded engine problems these cars have inherited.
After 2 months of ownership it decided outta the blue to spin a bearing!!!
After nearly 12months of saving and lots of ideas going through my head...
I finally decided on a spec... helped by a few of you lot on here ( you know who you are ) With the shortblock built by AXIS... me and my sister's boyfriend ( Andy ) built it back up DIY style to a spec I never really dreamed of, in total the rebuild owes me near £8K ( atleast ) but I managed it and got great value for money and peice of mind it was done right...

The Type R is a STi Type R version 4...

The engine spec:-

Axis stage 4 build... (EJ22t) 2.35
Sealed together with Cometic head gaskets and ARP studs and bolts
Adaptronics ECU
A Andy Forrester Garrett hybrid turbo MD321T (bolts in standard position)
Samco turbo inlet pipe
800cc v-port injectors
Uprated spark plus ( £130 quid for 4!!! )
Hybrid FMIC
Walbro fuel pump
Parrallel fuel mod
Cossie fuel pressure regulator
Teg sport uprated headers & up-pipe
Carl Davey inlet manifold spacers
APi baffled sump
RCM uprated oil pump
Water spray re-routed to just behind the front number plate for the FMIC
Thats the basics...

On top of the mods... every tensioner, idler, belt, gasket, oil modine, water pump etc was replaced at great cost...

A link to the project's thread for those who missed it...?

https://www.scoobynet.com/projects-4...diy-style.html

On top of that little list, It has STi 8 Brembos up front, with recent new pads fitted.
It had new 18 inch prodrive reps with Toyo tires fitted which are as old as the engine rebuild and have done less than 4K on them.
Version 5-6 front bumper with P1 splitter fitted, crystal light pack. Radar jammers fitted in the front grill... Version 5-6 rear spoiler?
The car is going for MOT next month, so it will be sold with 13 months MOT on and is taxed until the end of December 2007.
The car has had regular oil changes, the run in period up to 2500 miles had 6-7 oil changes, done the **** way everytime... since then its had 3 lots of Mobil 1 15w/ 50w ... without looking, the car has done between 3500-4000miles on the rebuild. The car is now showing 54K on the clock...
Nice low mileage for the year. R555 ... plate included in the sale...
Errrr, the car is in near mint condition for its year, with a great spec and all the other right bits on it... no chav-vy bits here...
Dont really know what else to write... its FORSALE as from Now!!!

IMHO my asking price for the car of £11K is a steal... as the car owes me near £20K
Within the next couple of weeks its having the final map tweak along with 2 stage boost will be wired up...
It'll run 14psi @ low boost ( est 380bhp-400bhp ish ??? )
And around 22psi @ high boost (est 440-bhp + ??? )
I won't have time to get it on the dyno...

Although everything engine wise is capable of nearer the 30psi mark ( 500bhp )...
The standard transmission needs to be treated with care... although its seems to cope well atm with a uprated clutch.
I don't dare unleash all its power, as I can't throw anymore money at it...
So, my advice to its new owner would be put something stronger in it if you wanna drag it or track it...

The car won't come with the ICE shown in the pics below... but I'll find something for it...
It has a Clifford cat 1 alarm/ immobilizer fitted, along with a Tracker...
Sorry about the muddled write up, its abit all over the place, but there we go...

So... 11K and its all yours, finished and perfect for the new owner...
I may take PX but don't really want another Scooby if I can help it...
Ideally, I wanna sell the car and get a Diesel 306 hdi for upto the value of 2K for the right car, eva a 5 door hatch or estate...!!! It'll come in handy with buying the house...
The rest of the money is going into kitting the house out...

PICS... I'll post a few, if you need more just let me know... NOW UPDATED WITH NEW PICS...

Sorry the pics were only took off my phone...

Not intersted in timewasters, Tyre kickers, people who wanna know how fast it goes etc etc...
I'm gonna hold out for my price of 11K, its fair considering the spec and condition. The car will go perfect to the new owner. This is a pampered Type R... NOT ABUSED!!!
If I was to keep it it wouldn't get used, so its my only reason for parting with it... I may have another one someday... I do have another project lined up...
But this is the Forsale thread... so is anyone seriously interested in it???

What a shed, I'll give you £150 for it

Utter bargain mate, I'd be selling it for way more considering the spec. Actually, I wouldn't be selling it at all as I'd only regret it.

BTTT for stunning car.

I remember I was buying a new ej22t from the same place as you pair ready to ship to Ron.
Only to find you got the last one, or it might have been Colin.
Either way, a sad day albeit a necessary one...

Will do mate.

In all seriousness this car has a dream team spec. No corners were cut and it could be run as is or has the potential with a turbo swap to go well over 500hp depending on what you want from the car. You wouldn't be disapointed either way.

I cant belive this car hasn't sold!

When you consider the costs to buy and modify a type r to this spec, 11k is a bargain.
