Default JDM Twinscoll - Ex BRD Car

For Sale is probably the best Newage car in the South of England. The car was originally a BRD Development vehicle owned by Bob himself and this actual car has spawned a number of performance parts.

More detail about the cars history, can be found here and is well worth a full read as it covers a lot of technical upgrades not listed below:
https://www.scoobynet.com/projects-4...phase-2-a.html

I would like £11,000 for the car in its current format.

(The wheels have a few scuffs, the rear bumper has a scuff and the bonnet has a small stone chip. Rather than spend £500 sorting them, I have adjusted the value by more than this amount to let the new owner decide if he wants to bother/has the money now and you have to get close anyway to see all these things anyway)

Before continuing, I would like to state that I have no interest is splitting off and selling any parts individually. I know that I would get more money doing so, but I don’t want to. I will ignore any requests to do so!

The car is a JDM STI ‘GL’ (Full Extra’s Model), spec’d up from the factory by BRD and registered new in April 2003. Because of the way BRAND new cars are registered, it was listed as a ‘52’ plate. I run a private plate – which is NOT included in the sale.

The GL model shares may components with the Spec C, including the same quick rack, engine (strongest production STI engine) and ECU. It does lack the Spec C thinner-skinned roof/windscreen glass and slightly longer wheelbase, but it offers a better daily drive.

Since buying the car, I have concentrated on improving the drivability, rather than straight-line speed (I like corners!). The Full Type 25 suspension, PFF7’s and uprated Pads have produced a car that can adequately cope with all 400 horses.
NB. On a Don Palmer course a couple years back, it was quicker than a new Carrera 4S around the cones and I made two rear seat passengers ‘G sick’ going through the tight corners.

The car is currently running a ‘square 380’ Bhp/Ibs with hardly any lag and the limiting factor for huge power is the VF37 Twin Scroll Turbo. I considered a hybrid single scroll to get 450-480, but it is just so damn good having minimal lag, it just made the 10-15% increase not worth it.

In summary (not everything is listedbelow ):

April 2003 STI GL Model (Blobeye)
Full import and new purchase paperwork.
Full documented Service History - 40,000 miles
Spec C ECU (with switch able maps via SECS monitor)
Mapped and set up from new by BRD, including Rescaled MAF etc.. (Using MEGA ROM map software that provides 5 differeent maps for the selected gears 1-2-3-4-5&6 ). This helps getting the power down in lower gears.
APS DR725 Front Mount Intercooler capable of up to 725bhp (apparently)
Standard VF37 Twinscroll Hybrid Turbo
RCM Large Cone filter
RCM 3in Straight through system and back box.
Aquamist Water/Methanol injection (Currently Mapped out – But originally controlled by ECU Heat/boost sensors).
Power Enterprise 650cc Injectors (565’s only good for 370bhp)
Uprated Fuel Pump
Zerosports Radiator Cooler
HKS earthing kit
Carbon Pulley and Fusebox covers.

PFF7 Wheels with nearly new 225/40/18 Goodyear F1’s.
Full Type 25 Adjustable suspension and geometry settings.
DS2500 Pads.
Front upper and lower STI Strut Braces.
Rear STI Strut Brace.

Original (and rare) Genuine STI complete Front Splitter.
Kaylan Mudflaps all round.
UK Rear lights including integrated foglight.
Scoobyword (WR1 Style) front Intercooler protector
Factory HID headlights

STI Floor Mats
Option of original leather, WR1 or STI 6 Speed Gear *****
Defi BF gauges in Defi Pod with integrated control box
Knocklink display LED's built into defi pod.
SECS Data Monitor with user-tune facility
Kenwood Stereo with IPOD and/or 10 Disk MP3 player control.
Custom Stealth Fitted larger Front and rear Component Speakers.
Doors and boot Dynamatted.
Customer Fitted Stealth 6x9 Kenwood subs and user controlled amplifier under customer rear shelf.
Full aftermarket Clifford system with BackJax and auto window closure.
Sony Ericson Bluetooth running through stereo speakers (muting stereo).
Additional 12v sockets.

I’m sure there is more, including things like the STI Oil cap!!!!

The first thing I did was put in a link.

The original advert is updated as follows:

Mileage is 42,000.
Tax till Dec 2008. MOT to April 2009.

Doors and boot were dynamated as part of the ICE Install.
There are some Carbon Parts under the bonnet.
The clifford has the full closure function for the windows.

3/9/08 Updates.
The car has a bult in Sony Ericson bluetooth kit that has worked with my Nokia, Motorola and Iphones during ownership.
There are 2 additional 12v cigarette sockets up under the dash, that I plug and route my phone charger and satnav power cables into them via hidden routes.
The ECU uses the MEGA ROM software, which has 5 individual 'maps' for 1-2-3-4-5/6 gears. These really help get the increased power down.
Knocklink LED's built into Defi Pod, for uncluttered look.
