Default Bugeye (MY01-MY02) STi Dampers & Prodrive Springs

For sale seperately, or as a complete package.. either of these two options will improve the ride of your 2000 - 2002 Bugeye New Age WRX:
STi Dampers (red) with Sti Springs (black):

Genuine Prodrive STi (red) Springs

Genuine Prodrive WRX (blue) Springs

*** I did have a set of these but sold them for £100 ***

Please note: Whilst the rear dampers are complete, the front dampers will require the re-use of your WRX's existing Top Mounts. If you want to keep your old suspension complete, then the Subaru Dealership will sell you new Top Mounts - the STi and WRX are the same part number.
Open to offers, these will shortly be going on eBay where I have seen them fetch upto £300 for the dampers with black springs.

Reason for sale: I have sold my Bugeye WRX before I got the opportunity to fit them.

Collection preferred, they are in Oxfordshire. I can arrange a courier at extra cost.

Thumbs up

I'll be brutally honest and sat I don't know. They were bought a year ago from a senior Scoobynet user who told me he had upgraded to Prodrive springs at about 25,000 miles and then to Power Station AST's at about 40,000 miles (thus front's have no top mounts).

I had to sell my WRX before I could fit them but they are straight and have no leaks. The speckling on the damper cups is tar, not rust, though there is a little bit of corrosion but nothing out of the norm.

There are NO leaks and they were originally taken off the donor car to upgrade to AST's, not for any warranty claims which affected the Blobeye STi suspension.

If you want more detailed pictures, let me know what of and your email address and I'll whizz them over

Exclamation

I have found the email from the guy I bought them off:

Rusty,

They are from my 02 Prodrive Sti, Type UK.
The car has done 40K miles and the Prodrive springs were fitted when the car had done about 8K miles.
I still have the original springs and you can have them also if you wish.
The only strut tops I have are the front ones.
You would different rear strut tops if you are fitting to a non 02 WRX or Sti car. Basically they changed slightly on the 03 cars.

BTW; I removed the suspension as I have fitted AST 12 way adjustable coil overs.
So to conclude, The dampers come with Front top mounts and rears are required. If replacing your existing 2000 - 2002 Bugeye WRX suspension, you can use your existing topmounts as WRX and STi are same part number.

Hi Ronnie,

I was hoping for a bit more but for £150 I can let you have the STi Dampers and STi black Springs

Can you collect or do I need to sort out a courier?

Cheers, Jonathan

Hi Scoobyjay,

I will sell the red Prodrive STi springs seperately once the STi dampers and black springs have been sold as the ideal setup is red dampers and red springs.

Based on the emails and private messages I have been getting (apologies if they have been bouncing, I've cleared my mailbox out now) The first confirmed offer of £150 will get the Red dampers and black springs. I will then be looking for £130 for the red Prodrive springs on their own.

However, if one buyer wants the lot, I'll let them go for no less than £250 plus P&P.

I am near Newbury (A34/M4 junction) but will be driving to Scotland next Satruday up the M40/M6 so can deliver along this route for no extra charge (meet up at a service station?)

Alternatively, pay for a courier and I'll ship them

Cheers, Jonathan

Talking

The Sti dampers and black springs are now provisionally sold and the buyer doesn't want the Red Prodrive springs so I am willing to sell them seperately.

Asking £130 ono
