Phormula KS3 any good while mapping?

Just wondering if this is an adequate mapping tool instead of wearing my home made set cans!

Not the pro version, the standard ks3

I would think not as youd first need to know where the det is to be able to set the knock alalm etc on the ks3. set to low and it could be picking up just engine noise or even gear change noise

KS3 is great for daily driving to ensure no Det is present, but as already mentioned it needs setting up on a mapping session.

I made these myself a long time ago, to set up the KS3 and for mapping.
I used a Dutch electronics supplier, but Maplins or any other electrics store can supply the parts used.
I connect them to my radio, so can hear possible det through the speakers, as I find driving around with good noise canceling headphones in a car while actually driving makes you look like a total toad, and a police magnet as well.
