When you are doing a decent build they are pretty cheap to be honest so i don't know why you wouldn't got for one. Depends what you are trying to achieve?

Im using one in my build and it was only about £500 including acl bearings. Compared to the £730 pistons im using its quite reasonable!

what about cross drilled only, not nitrided?

For the difference in cost the nitrated one is worth the extra IMO ;)

Aren't all Newage STI cranks cross drilled & Nitrided. I used one in a CDB with modified thrust on mine & it didn't break the bank. Big HP needs the best possible parts to survive as long as possible.

Only the JDM's have the drilled cranks afaik and they are all Nitrided.

The USA ones are cross drilled only
