The sun was shining so...

I washed the car.

Going for a wheel alignment with FB Tuning soon so flipped the wishbone links for more caster, which is a PITA when the car is a foot off the ground and you need to get some leverage on the breaker bar but sorted in the end, and maximised the camber from all of the bottom bolts so adjustments will me made using the lateral arms and top mounts. Fitted some coilover socks which are a bit strange on the rears because Meister R fit a tapered spring so you have a rubber top mount to prevent it knocking, and then just cleaned it...

PH neutral snow foam and some cherry wheel cleaner to start...

Then a wash with some Autoglym shampoo and a coat of Meguiars Classic Gold wax:D

The match and quality of the paint from Ryan (aka Prodriverules) was impeccible as ever:D

And a quick wipe under here too:thumb:

Very clean and shiny, love how the engine bay is coming along. :)

Wouldn't want that in my rear view mirror, very intimidating.

Great looking car!

I've got a small mountain of stuff ready to completely transform the engine bay but that'll be the next big project:D

Cheers Tony, it'll look even better with the splitter re-fitted after I've had the wheel alignment done:thumb:

Picked it up second hand on here, it's a Pankifer one or something like that:wonder:

EssexJamie 09 March 2014 11:54 PM

Looks great

Quite partial to the looks of the bug myself. They do have road presence.

Sick motor this one, seen the spec on the build page. A credit to its owner for sure.

Not a huge fan of the bonnet but it's very high quality.

It will be one of those marmite mods that will divide opinion; whilst the HT Autos WRC style one is more subtle this is less common and that's what swung it in the end:thumb:

Cheers mate, I've done loud and OTT cars and ths was supposed to be subtle but the wheels and mud flaps seem to destroy that idea - as I said, I'm just glad people like it:thumb:
