MOT due,MY99 turbo, what do i do about Cats?

Hi, ive been doing loads of work on my MY99 turbo over the last year, full re spray and got rid of rust,
I will need to MOT it fairly soon, what do I do about CAT's? as I have a full stainless system with full de CAT!
do I have to re fit both? I don't want it to go back to it being sluggish either, far better de Catted! :)
Need advice please.

You will need one cat, either the downpipe cat or centre section cat. Either will pass the mkt

while on the subject of cats/ de cat exhausts, if you only run with one cat, what do you do with the lamba sensor, assuming there are 2, one for each cat? if only running one cat am I right in thinking re map would be required?

Is this for sure? as I don't want to go down the route of fitting the first cat by the turbo, its a complete pig of a job! really bad.
Can I just fit the cat on the centre section and it will pass the mot?
im not asking about the emissions, I just don't want it to fail if both cats arnt re fitted, can I get away with fitting just the centre section cat,

Anybody out there that has had an mot recently in a classic shape?

Used to put my downpipe cat back on my classic for mot, always passed.
Easy job if you can get it on a lift, although my mate did have to get torch on the bolts to get them off a couple of times.
Never had the centre cat as came with straight through pipe.
Tried it without cat and would not have passed emissions.

I fit centre cat only and have done for the passed 7 years. Been fine so far.
