my 00 uk classic using fuel

Right this car doin my head in
car was using fuel bad before and boosting crap
took it to scooby clinic who solved my boost problem
and told me my car down a cylinder
so had engine rebuilt and runs perfect
also replaced maf sensor as scoobyclinic said that was goosed
been runnin car in
and just used £30 worth of v power and have done 90 mile
and sometimes my idle up and down
people wreckon try discounting the battery for few hours and try it
I slowly swaying towards sellin up

Robsscooby 08 March 2014 10:03 AM

Have done like 700mile
and thought would tickle her and feels like no boost
car has straight through on air filter
dv
I dont think it has been mapped
but drove a blue 2000 other day and pulled like a train and he
getting good mpg

Gambit 08 March 2014 10:16 AM

take it back to scoobyclinic

Robsscooby 08 March 2014 10:18 AM

Gotta finish running in before take it bk

Robsscooby 08 March 2014 10:19 AM

And its like 70mile away
didnt no if any body could help

kirky1 08 March 2014 11:02 AM

my car does about 80-100 miles per £30 of shell v on standard map with quite a few mods and no cats

alcazar 08 March 2014 11:40 AM

If it's not been mapped for the air filter and d/v, it will use more fuel. It may also run lean at times = bang!

You should have a running in map, then get it changed for a full one.

Robsscooby 08 March 2014 12:07 PM

I totaly agree about mapping
and
scooby clinic told me once it ran in I taking it back for mappin and to be set up proper
but as for now dont ring its neck
I did 500mile with no boost wot so ever

imprezaworks 08 March 2014 02:50 PM

Id also concentrate on how to use the computer. Reading your replies is hard work

Robsscooby 08 March 2014 02:59 PM

Sorry

FMJ 08 March 2014 06:24 PM

Ask scooby clinic? When they remapped my car it improved MPG.

You need to work out the mpg correctly. Fill up, reset trip, use car till fuel light comes on, fill up again and then out how many miles you are getting per litre and then divide that figure by 4.55 to get your mpg. If it's anywhere between 18 and 23mpg then it is quite normal. Cold ambient temperatures mean lower mpg and as Alzacar said, your air filter and dump valve WILL be making the mixture rich, especially if it hasn't been mapped.

Depending what your paying for fuel ofcourse. But worked roughly thats 17.5mpg. Id say just a little below what it should be for town driving. But not bad for a car thats not run in or mapped

Well light came on
at 123.6 on trip
so when back to shell.
and put another £30 worth of v power.
which was 21.60 litres.
used mpg calculator on phone and wreckons
25mpg
