Classic Impreza Rear Brakes
Hi All
Looking to change, update & upgrade my rear discs & pads on my RB5 ? All recommendations & advice greatly appreciate, cheapest places to purchase etc etc ? Thanks in advance... |
Give Ian Godney a ring at Godspeed, discuss with him what you want and the type of driving you do.
|
Or, pop to Birtley and speak to Alyn at AS Performance.
|
Thanks
Heard mixed reports about Godspeed & I think that's what I have on the front from invoices & Alyn said they weren't up to much when I was there a couple of weeks back... ??? |
I put Ians 2 pot conversion on the back of my rb5 with grooved discs and Kevlar pads and the 335m kit on front with modified 4 pot calipers including stainless pistons and grooved discs with Ferodo 2500 pads....unreal difference, you wont be disappointed!!

Anyway , check out our feedback on the left , click on the number under my name and you will see what the end user has to say about our service and products , along with many many people on here , we are probably the most popular brakes on Subaru's , and offer everything from mild to wild to suit all types of drivers. On your RB5 , you can either still with the original 266mm vented discs , and we can supply you rear grooved discs with black painted centres for £115 , or you can fit the 2 pot calipers and 290mm discs from the 2001 onwards WRX , we offer grooved discs , kevlar pads and mounting bracket kit for £185 , or full kits with fully reconditioned 2 pot rear calipers for £495. You should check the rear 1 pot calipers if you are staying standard , the sliders can become sticky and seized , so make sure its all cleaned up and regreased. If you need any advice feel free to ring me on 01656 723060 Cheers Ian |
