Where do you guys have your car serviced?

I've not used anyone in Essex since moving here but I'm finding prices ranging from £350 - £645? I've advised all it's the 90k service without cam belt change but prices are still very varied so I'm hoping to go on recommendations...

Sorry mate i can't advise as I do my own. I have a very thorough mate but he's a German specialist. He did my cam belt and water pump though.

I'm in north Herts and just need an interim service (oil and filter only plus standard checks) local Subaru dealer wants £220!?

Anyone know of any independent subarus places around St. Albans, Watford, Stevenage, Hitchin area?

Not to bothered about travelling for a good service, I used scoobyworld in Leicester last year! I went to my local Subaru dealer they want £645, they said £150 of that was spark plugs. I don't feel it needs a £645 service, £220 sounds more like it lol

Plugs are only about £35 to buy if you go for the best money can buy:eek:

I'm always hearing good reviews for Extreme Scoobies in Boreham near Chelmsford, not used them myself as I have a mechanic that's very good at looking after my Impreza

Slowboy Racing just outside Brands Hatch I recently used.

Rich @ FB Tuning also has a great reputation.

If you're Essex/Suffolk/Herts/Cambs based, Paul at Extreme Scoobies at Boreham is recommended.
I do all the usual servicing stuff myself but what I can't do (car needs to be on a lift, etc) I go to Paul.
