Best size newage alloys

I guys, I see a lot of 18" wheels but only a few 19".. I'm into the euro scene so stretch and low... Don't worry my car is a non turbo so doesn't go sideways too often..

Any pics of 17's 18's and 19's and possibly the tyre size and best width of wheel please?

Thanks a lot

Hi there

Best size really doesn't matter, really depends what you want from wheels and how much you are looking to spend

For best looks you will need to spend money on coilovers, camber bolts and would advise to roll arches and possibly pull arches and if wheels are pretty wide then arch extension like are Karlton

19" on Subaaru I wouldn't choose or run them,we are run 255/40 R17 with 9JX17 ET28 on our wagon

Thanks,Jura

Had 19"inch OZ superleggera's on my old WRX about 9 years ago. Not only will they make your brakes look super small, But you really need lowering springs/coilovers as it would look like its on stilts!!

Only pic I have of my old blob with 19s

18's with 225/40 are the best size in my opinion
For 17's to work it would have to be so low you would be bottoming out on every speed bump you went anywhere near. 19's are too tall to get any decent width.
This is my old set up, 18x9.5 et38 with 225/40

But couldn't get it as low as I wanted so got myself some 18x9 et36 with the same tyres and it now looks like this

This is probably my new favourite impreza! I'll be getting coilovers as I'd rather pay a bit more for some decent ones than get some that aren't made well.

So do you think the 9.5J rims were too wide for the car to sit nice? Are our arches rolled and also what percentage window tint is that as I've been looking around but don't know which to get :P

Many thanks for all the replies guys :)

Coilovers are needed and would invest to better coilovers, will worth it and too to the camber bolts at front and rear

9.5J are not too wide, but this will depends on on the camber setup,we are run 9.5J with 245/40 wheels on the wagon and wagon as I said is lot narrower at back than saloon

Here are pictures of our wagon

19x9.5 will never work mate

Jura, although it looks purposeful, that's not exactly the low and stretched look the OP is after

Going to attempt to go lower in the summer, especially on the rear, reckon I can get a few more mm out of it, before it starts to rub with passengers!!!

Its changed since them pics where taken, Got Carbon Fibre mirrors to go on, Got the HT Auto's rear bumper splitter thingys, and had the boot/tailgate smoothed(hate the subaru badge in the centre) and got a Teigwa rear tow hook(which is now removed so I can sell it) as the tow hook is not to my taste)

Still need to paint my intercooler black, and get some mesh in the bumper, but its never ending!!!
