cdb prices

As above really, what are cdb's generally going for these days ? Block halves or with crank, pistons etc. Usually doesn't really matter I suppose as they get pulled apart for the stroker kits.

Cheers
Tim

£450 (for the block halves) in good nick

Unless its been rear thrust converted £450 is high IMO for block halves. In my search recently I could have bought some for £300-£350 if you don't mind going for a next size overbore, but at the time I wanted good 92.0 bores - hens teeth

Sold one with bottom end knocking for £300.

I have one complete and running. £300

Thanks for the input guys, so realistically looking at circa £350 depending on the bores.

£450 price would be from someone well known who has inspected the engine and can confirm its in good working order.

Far too many people have been caught out buying one that's knackered or been damaged beyond repair.

I bought a £325 CDB only to find out when it was checked over that it was nothing more than a paper weight.

Second one i bought from FB tuning for more but i knew there would be no issues.

Ra-motorsport in Perth quoted me £350 for a good 1 and they had a few kicking about last week when I called.

When I take mine out of my RA I will be keeping it for future.
A good one isn't worth selling at those prices

I'll be taking it out tomorrow night, so I'll strip the heads and check the condition of the bores.
Then depending on said condition, will come up with a price or maybe hold onto it as joe stated.
