It is pretty good actually and dismiisses some of the nonsense in an otherwise excellent movie, Rush!

Thanks for that f1, an era never to be repeated that's for sure.

It was the '76 season that first got me interested in F1. I was just a kid and F1 was on TV on BBC2 in a short highlights programme a couple of days after the race.

My parents always wanted to watch something else, but I argued that my brother got to watch football all the time, I just wanted half an hour of TV time every 2 weeks...and the argumnet stuck! Been into F1 ever since!

I didn't realise then that I was watching F1 in transition from the wild and crazy sport of playboys to the professional sport it is today. In many ways it was better then (I remember going into the Brands pits on the Friday practice day in 1981 I think it was... can't do that today), but it is a heck of a lot safer now and that is a very good thing!

i like F1 for the sole reason that it represents the start of spring/summer - long lazy days

stopped watching when it went from realtime on the BBC to interspersed with adverts and retrospective on commercial TV

True about the nonsense in the film. Both the film and the doc were pretty good :)
