SOLD - 2007 Hawkeye STI - Fully Forged A.K.A. "The Terminator"

12 Attachment(s)
SOLD

OK this is probably the hardest car sale I have ever made. This car is a part of me and I have lived and breathed it into what it is today. A 2007 Impreza WRX STI Hawkeye - Fully forged running 477 bhp & 475 ft/lbs torque.

First registered 29th September 2007 so one of the last Hawkeye STIs. It has a fully forged engine built by well-known North East Subaru Specialist Andy Kindon and completed on 5th January 2013 at 41,509 miles. I have done 12,000 miles on that forged engine to date. Mileage will increase slightly as it is my daily driver. It was remapped with Ecutek Racerom by Bob Rawle on 21st February 2013 at 43,051 miles after 1,542 miles running in. It has dual maps (1.4 bar & 1.6 bar) both with launch control, flat foot shifting & auto blip downshift.

The oil & filter is changed every 2,500-3,000 miles with Millers CFS 10w60 NT oil and I spend on average 6-8 hours every weekend cleaning and detailing it. I am an active member of the North East Subaru Forum (NESF) where “The Terminator” is well known. I have spent a lot of money on top of the range branded parts and I have a full lever arch file bursting at the seams with all receipts and invoices for parts, servicing, upgrades, and work carried out, etc. All upgrades have been done in the last 18 months. There is no finance on the car and I have HPI report to prove this.

I am the 3rd owner. First owner had it until 18,000 miles and I purchased it on 9th May 2012 from the 2nd owner with 33,000 miles on the clock.

This is a fantastic car for a true Subaru enthusiast and I sincerely hope that it goes to someone who will appreciate it for what it is. It has not had a hard life and has never been tracked or raced. Most of the time it spends at legal road speeds, as it is my daily driver used to commute to work and back and take the kids to school, etc. I do however get the opportunity to open it up on run-outs with the NESF club members every few weeks or so. I have been told that I “drive it like a big fanny” by my fellow Subaru enthusiasts on NESF!

I am happy for any prospective buyer to arrange for any mechanical inspection whatsoever and you can also speak to any of the senior and long-standing members of the North East Subaru Forum (NESF) as they are all aware of the car and its history and modifications. I am happy for any test drives as long as you have proof of comprehensive insurance for my car not yours – otherwise you will be in the passenger seat and I will be driving.
Hope I’ve remembered everything, but happy to answer any genuine questions.

A change in work circumstances dictates the sale of the car and I am looking for offers around £15,500. I am happy to wait for the right buyer, so please no silly offers as they will not be responded to.

If you are not interested in buying the car then please just move along and try not to leave any negative comments, as it is hard enough selling a car these days without negative comments from non-interested parties with their “opinions”.

Thanks

Anybody wondering if this car really is as good as it seems.......you need to recalibrate your expectations.......as this car really needs to be seen to be believed.

To say its been well looked after and lavished with love is a serious understatement.

The royal corgis have lived in poverty compared to this thing !

ColinM 18 February 2014 09:25 AM

Thanks Mic - these things happen! I am sure I will be back in a scoob in the future - I am just not sure if I have set my standard too high with this one to be happy with another! Only time will tell! Thanks very much for the compliments mate and I hope to see you about, as I will still be at the NBO this year, although only as a passenger by the looks of things. I will always be lurking around here and on NESF.

All the best mate

Thanks as well to everyone else who has commented on this thread for the kind comments about the car - really appreciate it :thumb:
