Fake Police Cars

Shocking, and the police response is so poor!

That is absolutely shocking, a base model Ford Mondeo FFS!!!

Guarantee if you tried refusing to stop for a police car you would be charged with some offence or even worse your car would get jumped on and then the side window smashed with a baton.

jayallen 17 February 2014 05:02 PM

You don't have to stop for unmarked Police cars....Although you do have to acknowledge they are trying to stop you.

BULLITT 17 February 2014 05:46 PM

Don't the Police say if you're unsure about the car trying to pull you over to acknowledge it but drive straight to the nearest Police station? Surely no court would ever support a charge of failing to stop if you actually did stop but at the nearest Police Station?

I led a (very) high speed persuit from Stratford to Barking years ago, after 4 blokes in a car pointed for me to pull over. I was 17 and they were big, so I gunned it. :D

I was only stopped after running into traffic about 50 meters from Barking Police station, I was dragged from the car and handcuffed etc. when the actual traffic Police arrived I was apologized to and they said I did the right thing. :lol1:

Obstruction was my charge lol...had the 3 way sandwich...but I allowed it...my car was new so didn't want it smashed

A police spokesman said residents should only stop for a car with police lights if they are 100 per cent certain it is the police.

Honest gov thought you were fake police so did 60 in a 30 smoking my joint banging music innit.

This happens in SA all the time but drivers have guns.

My experience of magistrates is that if the police told them that I'd beamed down and broken a law, they'd still fine me.

Jamie 19 February 2014 09:41 AM

Beamed down ? not sure what you are saying alcazar.

Felix. 19 February 2014 09:48 AM

I think he is saying that the magistrates will believe the police no matter what - if only he knew the way it really is......

scunnered 19 February 2014 10:46 AM

Felix, that is the way it really is.
I found that out a few years ago when a policeman lied in court to get me convicted of something when I was completely innocent. The result was a £600 fine and two year driving ban.
Even though I had proof of my innocence the court will always take the word of a policeman even if he is blatantly lying.

I have had loads of experiences where they won't take our word for it
