So basically they walked up the stairs to the top then climbed up ladders and the crane. Not really what I would call free climbing.

Isn't that more "walking up some stairs, then a ladder then along a walking platform? Yes it's high but good climbers do much harder stuff than that.

Jesus Christ goes beyond no fear ,my balls are aching after watching it .

As some say, the climb itself is not difficult. I could do it myself BUT only if it were 650 mm above ground ;o). It is the fear/consequence factor that makes it impressive.

HSE would have a field day.

They didn't free climb anything, that was all paths and hand rails.

Other than the illegal bit, I'd happily do what they did .. I wouldn't be so happy doing this
